Health and Safety

BCBSA is committed to ensuring everyone attending the BCBS 2022 National Summit has a healthy and safe conference experience.

As the COVID-19 landscape evolves, we will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that appropriate protocols are in place to protect attendee health.

COVID-19 Vaccination or Negative Test Policy

As of April 13, the BlueCross BlueShield Association policy requires BCBS 2022 National Summit attendees (including exhibitors and speakers) to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 OR a negative COVID-19 test* administered within 72 hours prior to registering onsite at the event.

*For the purposes of attending the BCBS 2022 National Summit, a person is considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, or

  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine

*Negative COVID-19 tests can include a rapid-result test or molecular lab test PCR/NAAT administered within 72 hours of arrival

  • It must be a documented test; tests should be administered from a health professional or at a testing site

  • An image of a standard at-home test will be rejected

Instructions for Uploading your Proof of Vaccine or Negative Test through ID.me

BCBSA is partnering with ID.me, a web-based application that will verify each person’s COVID-19 status by either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.

If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and are ready to begin the ID.me verification process, please go to the ID.me sign in page to get started.

This process will be the same for providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test, but as mentioned above you cannot begin this process until 72 hours prior to arrival time.

For instructions on how to navigate through the ID.me verification process, please watch this informational video.

If you need help creating an ID.me account, please find additional guidance on the ID.me support page. Please note that the login/password that you create through ID.me is unique to this specific service and it is NOT a single sign on with your registration.

Please Note: Attendees will also receive instructions via email for uploading their proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result as the event approaches.

Providing Proof of Verification at Summit

After you have completed your COVID-19 verification through ID.me, you will receive a confirmation email saying that you have been verified. To see your verification status, you can log back into ID.me using your credentials. Once you are logged in, you can find your COVID-19 Vaccine ID with the word VERIFIED in GREEN labeled on it (shown below) with the date you completed the verification.

IMPORTANT: When you arrive at Summit, please have this verification pulled up on your phone and be ready to show at the checkpoint/registration onsite so you can receive your badge.

COVID-19 Testing Options

  1. Schedule a rapid or PCR/NAAT test before departing for Orlando (highly recommended).

  2. COVID-19 Testing, including rapid PCR testing, is available at the Orlando International Airport.
